-Hi Andreia! So happy to have you among our artists!
Can you please tell us something about yourself?
Sure! My name is Andreai Gabriela and I was born in Bucharest, Romania, on 04.08.1973. I am a designer and manufacturer of contemporary jewellery since 2010. I'm also teacher of contemporary jewelry. I always liked to create! At first my interest in jewelry came as an addition to my palette of concerns, being constantly drawn to art and creation, but has evolved into a career change. I create contemporary jewelry unique and limited
series, and also costume products. Made from gold, silver, gems, and semiprecious natural stones next to unconventional materials, my collections are strongly linked to the inspiration of the moment and comes from everywhere around me: forms, sensations, feelings. My jewellery always starts from a concept. I like to build on my jewelry the story behind them.
-What does Contemporary jewelry means to you?
Contemporary jewelry means for me applied art! I create all kinds of jewelry for men and
women, but most of all I love to create rings. Rings represent for me a means of
communication and of highlighting the important matters. A special ring makes you feel good, but it can also be the business card of your personality. My jewelry stands out through daring
volumes and new finishes of the surfaces. Their apparent difficult wearability proving to be complex and atypical.

-Wow Andreia, congratulations! Such a success! Can you please tell us something about your latest collection?
Sure! It's called A-TOPIC Collection:
The concept of A-TOPIC Collection is based on the Pascalian theme: MAN = a thoughtful REED.
"Man is but a reed, the most feeble thing in nature, but thi is a thinking reed." said Blaise pascal.
The human fragility condition is like a reed because the human is mortal (his fragility to
stay steel in the midst of so many hostile circumstances), and the human greatness
because he has reason.
For Blaise Pascal, Man is a creature suspended between everything and nothing: but
NOTHING compared to Infinity, and EVERYTHING compared to nothingness.
The tragic human condition results in his inability to determine the exact place that he occupies in the universe, to choose between two contradictory trends.
According to Pascal's thoughts, the man may be considered as an "ATOPIC" being, A = without and TOPOS = place... he does not know what step to place himself on. The collection contains 15 pieces of jewelry. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, brooches, cufflinks, all of them are crafted in gold, silver and bronze.
All the artworks in the A-TOPIC Collection are unique pieces or limited series.
