The “Spazio per le Arti contemporanee del Broletto” of Pavia is proud to present the solo exhibition by the artist Carlo Migliorini “C’est la Vie”.
The exhibition, organized by Made4Art in collaboration with the Culture Department of the Municipality of Pavia, is curated by Elena Amodeo and Vittorio Schieroni, and presents a selection of works of various sizes representative of the latest production of the artist.
On display pictorial works where the geometry, lines and colors, inclusions of materials and objects blend abstraction to figuration, Cubism to Surrealism, learned citations to artistic research.
Carlo Migliorini, in art Sélavy, wordplay and pseudonym also used by Marcel Duchamp, takes the viewer into his unusual artistic universe, full of references and homages to the great masters of modern and contemporary art, with a playful and ironic approach, that brings out all the strength and freshness of his creativity.
Observing the works on display - write the curators Elena Amodeo and Vittorio Schieroni in the critical text presentation - you discover new and unique particulars, details of an original personality, which melts and goes beyond the cornerstones of art history developing an innovative and refined language. Discover the artist Migliorini is a surprise, a visual and mental pleasure, like leafing through a book of art history completely renovated, full of new ideas and unexpected revelations.
The twentieth century peeps from his works with all colors, shapes, geometries and the lessons that has been able to impart dragging the art to a point of no return and in infinite ways to produce creativity.
Art does not come from nothing, it has always been the teaching result of an assimilated past, but also revised and eventually overcome. Migliorini elaborated these fundamental elements, reworks them through its own character and personality, through his imagination, leaving the task to Sélavy to give life to his personal idea of art.
