She graduated at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts. She was the winner of the Friedrich Wilhelm Muller International Jewelry contest in 1988. She was selected by the Japanese government to work for New York Museum of Arts and Design in 2006. She selects material according to its beauty, simplicity and dynamic potential. She works with metal and traditional Japanese Washi paper.
